Player Development Series Baseball Clinics!
PLAYER
DEVELOPMENT SERIES (PDS)
This series of clinics are designed for players looking
to learn a solid base of fundamentals and enhance their
current skills. Depending on the clinic, participants are
younger players just starting to learn the game or older
players who are interested in improving their game to increase
their enjoyment of the game. As always, we go beyond fundamentals and the core
building blocks of the game. We also strive to help your son or daughter increase
their confidence, learn sportsmanship and understand the concept of teamwork,
which will provide dividends both on and off the field. |
PDS Baseball
FUNdamentals Skills Clinic For 1st & 2nd Graders
One of our most popular clinics! It is sure to fill
up quickly! 15 players and 3 Instructors Means
a Great 5:1 Student to Teacher Ratio
 These clinics are highly focused on helping young players build
a solid foundation of fundamental skills. The main topics (and
some of the points of emphasis) will include
• Correct throwing motion
• Catching the ball
• Hitting
• Fielding
• How to "Be in the Game"
• Introduction to Pitching
Given the age of these players, time will be spent both reviewing
past material and introducing new skills. We believe in this methodology
because young players can rarely be taught something once and be
expected to master that skill. The clinics are taught by experienced
JGBSA instructors, who are very enthusiastic about teaching the game
of baseball. Each player will receive a free t-shirt!
New for 2010 – We Have Added an Advanced
Version of this Clinic
This clinic is for players that would benefit from more advanced
training. Players need to have a solid hitting, fielding and throwing
fundamentals. In many cases, the players attended the regular version
last year. If you are not sure, please call and we will be happy
to assist you in choosing the right level.
Each Class is strictly limited to
15 participants!

.400 Club Hitting Clinic for Grades
3-5
 This
clinic will focus on the fundamentals and teach the core "absolutes" of
hitting and clinic and will feature a lot of hitting drill work in
rotating stations. We believe that no two players are alike, but
it is very important to have a solid foundation to build from in
order to become a successful hitter. We have indentified the most
common mistakes hitters of this age group make and will work with
each player to not only correct these mistakes but to begin to develop
the thought process necessary to allow a hitter to “self-correct’ as
they practice and play. We will strive to enhance each player's strength
while improving on any weaknesses. This clinic is designed for the
house or rec player as well as younger travel players.
Note: Players signing
up for both sessions will start Session 2 from where they left off in Session
1.

"Staff Ace" Pitching Clinic for Grades 3-5
 This
clinic will focus on the on fundamentals that provide proper balance
and stability in order to create a more productive pitcher and will
feature a lot of hitting drill work in rotating stations. . Instruction
on proper arm action, not only to maximize each player’s
potential, but to prevent potential pitching injuries, will be stressed.
We have indentified the most common mistakes pitchers of this age
group make and will work with each player to not only correct these
