Coach Alyssa's Softball FUNdamentals Clinic for Grades 1-4
Coach Alyssa Szarabajka joined our staff last year and quickly developed a strong following, especially among some of our younger players and those still new to the great game of softball. Now, she will be leading her very own clinic designed exclusively for young players in grades 1 through 4. Her goal is introduce the basic fundamentals of the game in a setting that will allow the players to see how fun softball can be. The main topics will include:

- Key Hitting Fundamentals
- Correct Fielding, Throwing & Catching Mechanics
- Introduction to Windmill Pitching
- 'Being in the Game"

Given the age of these players, time will be spent each week both reviewing past material and introducing new skills. We believe in this methodology because young players can rarely be taught something once and be expected to master that skill.

Softball Pitching 101/201 - Grades 3 and Up
The steps to becoming a successful fastpitch softball pitcher, from proper fundamentals to improving your current pitching skills are covered in this Core Level clinic. Coaches will basic fundamentals used in the wind-mill delivery. pitches. The 101 section of this clinic is aimed at those new to softball pitching, both younger house and emerging travel players.

In the 201 section (participants will be grouped according to age and ability), the drill will be designed at a higher level, comprehensive and demanding. It is set for older and more experienced players, who have some pitching experience. In addition to working on command of different pitches, time will be spent covering how to be prepared on the mound and the correct game management techniques that are crucial to success.

Softball Hitting 101/201 - Grades 3 and Up
This is the companion clinic to Pitching 101/201 and follows the same plan with the younger players in the 101 section and the older, more experienced players in the 201 portion. 101 focuses on the core elements of the batter's swing, with a lot of emphasis on the core fundamentals of hitting (stance, stride, swing). The 201 players will be on a more advanced track, where topics will include the mental approach to hitting, as well as slap-hitting and situational hitting.

Future Impact Travel Softball Clinic for 12U and 14U Players
Our most advanced all-around clinic. This clinic is limited to experienced travel players playing at the 12u and 14u (grade school) levels who are looking at playing competitive softball when they reach high school. Training will be led by Illinois Impact Head Coach Kent Szarabajka and will be devoted to the advance drill work similar to what he uses for the Impact players. Strategic areas with hitting, defense and pitching will all be covered. Focus will also be on developing the player's mental edge, an over looked aspect when it comes to player development.
